I graduated from Cal Poly S.L.O. with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. At Cal Poly I participated in many activities outside of my normal school work.  I spent time tutoring lower division math for the Math Department which included everything up to calculus and differential equations.  I also spent time as a Teaching Assistant for Cal Poly's Manufacturing Department for the class that teaches electronics manufacturing.  I am also a member in the local chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

I served in Uganda with the Peace Corps for 2 and a half years. I lived in a rural african village named Siwa in the district of Tororo, eastern Uganda. I worked with twenty different schools to improve the teaching methods that they used. I taught classes on HIV/AIDS, mathematics, and science. I also worked as an inside wireman for the IBEW for most of 2 years. Later I lived and worked in Capetown, South Africa. I have been teaching math and science for the last 3 years in Southern California.
